John Grace (1840-1904) of Dean, Smith and Grace

Born the son of Abraham Grace, a Publican, and his wife Elizabeth Rhodes

1870 Married at Keighley to Sarah Ann Clegg

1881 Living at 110 Highfield Street, Keighley: John Grace (age 40 born Bingley), Tool Maker employing 75 men and 30 boys. With his wife Sarah A., daughter Elizabeth and son Percy. Also his sister Sarah Clegg.[1]

1904 December. The death is announced of Mr. John Grace, of The Lindens, Utley, aged 64 years. Mr. Grace was one of the founders the firm Dean, Smith, and Grace Ltd., Worth Valley Tool Works. He sat the Keighley Town Council from 1887 to 1894. was formerly Sunday school superintendent, and circuit steward at the U.M.F.C. Chapel, Keighley. He leaves widow, a son, and daughter.[2]
