1920 John Hudson and Co was incorporated to take over the business. Its ships were transferred to the new business Hudson Steamship Co

1956 Responsible for wholesale and retail supply of coal, coke, oil and other fuels in the Greater London area. Supplies coal to the CEGB. The business was being extended to Birmingham. Became part of the new company Hudson Fuel and Shipping. Closely associated with Samuel Williams and Sons[1]
