1919 John Lees and Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £100,000, to take over the business of John Lees & Co of Maybole, tanners, curriers and boot and shoe manufacturers.[1]

1962 The Maybole factory was completely destroyed by fire.[2]

1976 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
