With his wife Mary Ann Ley (age 49 born Crediton) and their four children; John Robert Ley (age 22 born St. Sidwell, Exeter), Asst. ironmonger; Sarah Ann Ley (age 19 born St. Sidwell, Exeter), Milliner; William Henry Ley (age 15 born St. David's, Exeter), Solicitors Clerk; Herbert Felix Ley (age 7 born St. David's, Exeter).[2]
