1915 Obituary [1]

JAMES McKlE, born on the 20th July, 1837, died at Cleethorpes on the 23rd November, 1914.

Having served a pupilage under his father, the late Mr. H. U. McKie, he was later occupied as Resident Engineer under Mr. McKie, the late Mr. James Mansergh, Past-President, Mr. J. C. Melliss, and other engineers, on various sanitary works and surveys, including the Birmingham water-supply and sewerage installations at Southport, Maryport, Richmond (Surrey), Southend-on-Sea, Pork, Derby, and Cleethorpes, on which last work he was engaged at the date of his death.

Mr. McKie was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 1st December, 1889, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 7th February, 1899.
