1894 Partnership change. '...the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, John Pickering the elder, Henry Pickering, Frederick Pickering, and John Pickering the younger, carrying on business as Soap Makers and Tallow Chandlers, at Pershore-street and Bissell-street, Birmingham, under the style or firm of John Pickering and Sons, determined, by effluxion of time, on the 31st day of December last. The said John Pickering the elder retires from, and all debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Henry Pickering, Frederick Pickering, and John Pickering the younger, who will continue the said business at Pershore-street and Bissell-street, Birmingham, under the present style or name of John Pickering, and Sons...'[1]

1904 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Henry Pickering, Frederick Pickering, and John Pickering, carrying on business as Candle Makers, in Pershore street, and as Soap and Glycerine Makers, in Bissell street, in the city of Birmingham, in copartnership under the style or firm of "JOHN PICKERING AND SONS," has been this day dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of December, 1903. All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the said Frederick Pickering and John Pickering who will in future carry on the said business under the same style or firm...'[2]
