1869 Brothers Hugh and Francis Rigby purchased the Co-operative Wire drawers' Society in Brighouse, Yorkshire. They took into partnership their father John. Trading as John Rigby and Sons.
1874 Moved to Cannon Street, Salford, Manchester.
1897 Private limited company.
1902 Acquired the Rawfolds Wire Co of Cleckheaton.
1904 Acquired James Bateman of Low Moor, Bradford.
1919 Acquired Thomas Wood and Son (Heckmondwike); and William Robertson (of Warrington).
1932 Closed the Adelphi Wire Mills, Salford.
1933 William Robertson (of Warrington) was put into voluntary liquidation.
1938 Branch: Cleckheaton, Yorks.
