1872 Married(3) to Elizabeth Annie Smith (1853-1934) and had had eleven children

1891 Living at 259 Romford Road, West Ham: John R. Dickson (age 60 born Mile end), Brass Founder - Employer. With his wife Annie L. Dickson (age 37 born Marylebone) and their ten children. also two servants.[1]

1893 May 17th. Died.

1893 Concerning creditors. '...all creditors and other persons having any debts, claims, or demands against the estate of John Robert Dickson, late of 6 and 6, now 64 and 66, Plumber's-row, Whitechapel, in the county of Middlesex, and also of Bentley House, Romford-road, Forest Gate, in the county of Essex, Brass Founder (who died on the 17th day of May, 1893, and whose will was proved by Elizabeth Annie Dickson, Bentley House, Romford-road, Forest Gate aforesaid...'[2]
