1819 April 6th. Married Jane Walker in Bromley, Middlesex

1820 August 20th. Birth of son John Henry Adams

1823 October 15th. Birth of son William Adams

1823 He states 'I am a Surveyor'.[2]

1828 September 14th. Birth of son Robert Adams.

Emigrated to Australia

Returned from Australia

Took up his position with the East and West India Dock Co.

1841 Living in Limehouse, East and West India Docks, with John 21, Jane 19, Sarah, William age 17[3]

1851 Living in Poplar, London, John S Adams 55, civil engineer, his wife Jane 57, daughter Jane 29, son Robert age 22, civil engineer's apprentice[4]

1855 May 26th. Died at his residence in Homerton in his 60th year, Civil Engineer, late of the East and West India Docks.[5]
