'John Widdrington Whinfield, formerly of Wisbeach, Cambridgeshire, Engineer, then of No. 50, Guildford-street, Russell-square, Middlesex, then of No. 29, Shepperton-cottages, Saint Mary, Islington, Middlesex, then of Upper Ordnance-wharf, Rotherhithe, in the county of Surrey, and late of No. 6, Vauxhall-place, South Lambeth-road, Surrey, first carrying on business at No. 33, Saint Mary at Hill, Lower Thames-street, in the city of London, Engineer and Manager of the Patent Rolling and Compressing Iron Company, then of No. 33, and afterwards of No. 6, Saint Mary at Hill aforesaid, Carpenter, Builder, and Civil Engineer.'[2]
