1835 The Johnston family set up a bakery in Dublin and eventually merged business with Mooney and O'Brien to form Johnston Mooney and O’Brien.

1920s They had 10 bread and cake shops around Dublin: - Finglas, Cabra, Kimmage, Camden Street, Rathmines, Parnell Square, Dominick Street, Capel Street, Stillorgan and Dun Laoghaire.
1930's Introduced sliced loaf.
1990s Bread premises moves to Jamestown Rd., Finglas Bakery where is remains today.
