1838 Sale Notice: 'TO IRON FOUNDERS, MACHINE MAKERS AND OTHERS. Sale of valuable Machinery, Wheel Patterns, Smith and Millwright's Tools, Lathes, Anvils, Benches, &c.
TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, BY MR. LOMAX,
On Wednesday and Thursday, June 20th and 21»t 1838, on the Premises of Mr. Jonathan Cryer, Iron Founder and Millwright, Gas-strect, Moor-lane, Great Bolton;
The whole of the Stock-in Trade, comprising every description of Spur, and Mitre Wheel Patterns, of various dimensions; Pullies, Water-wheel Segments, Pedestals, Hangers, Steps, Drum Arms with and without Rings, Water-wheel Shafts, Calender Cheeks, Frames and Bowls, Paper-Cutting Machines, Pipe, Pillar, Stove, and Pallisade Patterns; Pipe, Pillar, Pallisade, Jobbing, and Small-work Moulder’s Boxes; three large Lathes, four small ditto; large Crane, two ditto with Chains, Blocks, and Ropes; Boring Rods and Heads, two pairs of Smith’s Bellows, Anvils, Vices, Millwright and Smith’s tools; a quantity of Cast and Scrap Iron Small-work and other Castings, Eight Benches, Stove and Piping, &c. &c.
Sale to commence at Ten o’Clock in the Forenoon of each day precisely. The Property may be viewed two days previous to the Sale, and further particulars on the Promises, or on application to Mr. TAYLOR, Solicitor, Folds-street. Bolton.'

'TO BE LET, With immediate possession. ALL those PREMISES situate in Gas-street, Moor-lane, Bolton, lately occupied by Messrs. Turner and Pilling as a Foundry and Millwright’s Shop, together with the use of the Steam Engine and Boiler of eight horse power. The Foundry is 29 yards long by 9 yards wide, and contains two Furnaces. The Millwright’s Shop is 20 yards long by 10 yards wide. There is a Counting-house and Dressing Room attached.
