Career:

1880 United Telephone Co.
1880-82 Pioneer of telephone, and in face of public apathy and criticism, opened several exchanges in Yorkshire.
worked with Yorkshire, Provincial and National Telephone Companies.
1911 Subsequently Superintendent Northern Area, until transferred to the State.
