LIEUT.-COLONEL JOSEPH ESTRIDGE, late R.E.( Bombay), son of Joseph Estridge, of Carshalton Park, Surrey, was born on the 27th of August, 1811. He entered the corps of Royal Engineers, receiving his commission as second lieutenant on the 12th of December, 1828, and as first lieutenant on the 10th of April, 1830. He was posted to Bombay, where he soon settled down into the routine of his corps. . . . [more]
