1872 William Sunderland Rhodes left the Partnership with Joseph Rhodes and Josiah Rhodes, carrying on the businesses of Iron Founders, Brass Founders,and Machine Makers, ... at the Hope Foundry, in Morley, in the county of York, ... , under the style or firm of Joseph Rhodes and Sons, ... all debts owing to and from the said firm will be received and paid by Joseph Rhodes and Josiah Rhodes, who will in future carry on the said businesses on their own account, under the same style or firm.[1]

1894-9 Samuel Coley Rhodes was an apprentice with J. Rhodes and Sons (sic) of Hope Foundry, Morley[2]
