1798 Born in Illogan, Cornwall, son of John and Alice.
1824 Married Ann Bullock[1]; they had six boys and three girls
1841 Living in Illogan (age c40), a Farmer. With his wife Ann (age c40) and their children James (age c15), a Smith; Joseph (age c14); John (age c12); Ann (age c10); Edward (age c9); Richard (age c7); George (age c5) and Alice (age c3). [2]
1851 Living at Broad Lane, Illogan (age 52 born Illogan), a Retired Grocer. With his wife Ann (age 50 born Illogan) and their children James (age 25), an Engineer; Joseph (age 24), an Engineer; Ann (age 20); Edward (age 18), a Farmer of 12 acres; George (age 15) and Sarah (age 6). [3]

According to Richard Tangye, in his autobiography, Alice Bullock's father was an assistant to some great mining engineers in Cornwall during the last years of the eighteenth century. Unfortunately he was engaged with the unsuccessful opponents of Boulton and Watt; and with the failure of his employers he turned to other occupations.
