Born at Walworth, London, the son of Philip Henry Byrne, Secretary to a Public Company.

1851 Married at Camberwell to Fanny Maria Irvine

1901 Living at Lambeth: Julian byrne (age 60 born Walworth), secretary of Madras railway. With his wife Fanny M. Byrne and two daughters.[1]

1905 Died. 'We greatly regret to have to announce the death of Dir. Julian Byrne, late secretary of the Madras Railway Company. Mr. Byrne was in the company's service for the exceptionally long period of 51 years, and was secretary for 38.'[2]
