K. H. Vogel, DipIME, graduated from the Swiss Institute of Technology, Zurich, and then worked for five years with Air Research Manufacturing Co, Los Angeles as a development engineer on small gas turbines.

He joined Sulzer Bros in 1960 as head of preliminary design in the turbo compressor department and was responsible for the operation of the axial and centrifugal compressor plants. Prior to 1972 he was in charge of production of turbo-machinery and last year was appointed Assistant Vice-President in charge of corporate planning at Winterther, the headquarters of Sulzer in Switzerland.
