Kennedy's Patent Water Meter Company, of Kilmarnock

1865 Company formed to exploit the invention of a new water meter by Mr. Thomas Kennedy.

Works adjoined those of the Glenfield Co., Ltd.

The Patent Water Meter Company and the Glenfield Company worked amicably together for years

1870 the combined area of the 2 works was about 11 acres and the number of workmen between eighty and ninety.

1888 The Glenfield Co were makers of Kennedy's Patent Water Meter

1899 Amalgamation with the Glenfield Co., Ltd., to form Glenfield and Kennedy, Ltd.
