Founder of Hills (Patents), Ltd., in 1920; partner in motor exporting firm, Dresser and Garle, 1907-14; served in A.S.C. Mechanical Transport 1914-18 (Mons Star);

1959 Chairman and Managing Director, Hills (Patents) since 1920. chairman and director of several companies, including overseas Hills companies manufacturing in France, Holland, S. Africa, etc.
