KENNETT BAYLEY, born in October, 1838, died at Mirfield, Yorkshire, on the 24th June, 1911.
Educated at Rugby, he served a pupilage to Messrs. Ransomes, of Ipswich, and later, to Mr. Robert Hodgson, of Newcastle-on-Tyne.
Subsequently he acted as Resident Engineer on the Team Valley branches of the North Eastern Railway, and on various works for the River Tyne Commissioners.
In 1877 he was appointed Engineer to the Great Southern and Western Railway of Ireland, and retained this position until 1900, when he resigned.
Mr. Bayley was elected a Member of The Institution on the 2nd February, 1875.
