1902 The company was incorporated by Act of Parliament for the purpose of generating and supplying electrical energy in the county of Kent, except for the Isle of Thanet, and took over the undertaking of the Chatham, Rochester and District Electric Lighting Co. [1]

c.1909 The Kent Electric Power Co transferred its rights and duties to the West Kent Electric Co in respect of specified areas of West Kent, around Northfleet, Strood, Malling and Sevenoaks.

1911 The Kent Electric Power Co transferred its rights and duties to the South East Kent Electric Power Co in respect of specified areas of South East Kent,

1923 County of London Electric Supply Co acquired control of Kent Electric Power Co.

c.1939 Commissioned the Littlebrook Power Station near Dartford.

1948 Nationalised[2]
