2002 ABB sold its worldwide metering business to Ruhrgas Industries GmbH. The UK operating company, ABB Metering Ltd was renamed Elster Metering Ltd.[1]

2012 Melrose plc acquired Elster Group and its subsidiary companies such as Elster Metering Holdings[2] of Bracknell

2015 Melrose sold Elster to Honeywell
