1811 Advertisement: 'IRON FOUNDRY. To be Let or Sold by Private Contract, ALL the well situated and extensive premises at Shooter's Brook, within less than one mile of the centre of the town of Manchester, lately occupied by Messrs Kirby, Barker and Dakin and by them used as an Iron Foundry, together with the steam engine, warehouse, smith's shop &c. Immediate possession can be given and further particulars known at the office of Messrs Duckworth, Chippindall and Denison.'[1]
