L. Grunberg

Mr. Grunberg came to Great Britain in 1938 and studied oil engineering and refining at the University of Birmingham. He was awarded degrees of B.Sc. in 1942, and M.Sc. in 1945, and the Sir John Cadman Medal.
In 1942 he joined Dr. Rosin Industrial Research Company, and whilst working on problems in applied and physical chemistry, made contributions to the subject of the molecular structure and the viscosity of liquids.
In 1951 he joined the staff of the Mechanical Engineering Research Laboratory as a Principal Scientific Officer and has been responsible for research on the nature of deformed surfaces and the chemical aspects of wear.
