Established in 1855 by John Lang and James Cousin (retired 1877) as Lang & Cousin. Continued by John Lang as Lang & Co.
1914 Present Principals: James Lang and Thomas Kennedy Lang. Agencies in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Leeds. Specialities: Plain, Fancy, and Art Muslins. and Curtains, Puggarees, &c. Claim to be the originators - of the " Mandalay " or Printed Art Muslins, and to be one of the first to make Madras Muslins. Awards: Gold Medal, Edinburgh, International Exhibition, 1886, for highest in Oriental and Madras Curtains; Award of Merit, Melbourne Exhibition, 1888.
