1911 'Mr. P. C. Ayers informs us that as from the 1st December, he has arranged to join Messrs. J. E. Lawler and Co., of 39, Lime Street, E.C., in their business as merchants and manufacturers' agents, which in future will be carried on by them under the title of Lawler, Ayers and Co., Limited — the business, including the re-presentation of Messrs. Cravens, Limited, being incorporated.'[1]
1911 'Lawler, Ayers and Co., Limited, notify that they have converted their business into that of a private limited liability company, in order to provide for certain extensions. In this connection Mr. Percy Casswell Ayers, of Messrs. Cravens, Limited, railway carriage and wagon builders, of Darnall, Sheffield, becomes co-Director with Mr. J. E. Lawler in the new Company, which will trade under the above style and title. More convenient premises have been taken at No. 1 Broad Street Place, E.C., from which address the business will be conducted on and after 1st January next.'[2]
