Silk mercers and drapers, of 29 Sandgate, Ayr.[1]

1930 Lawrie and Smith Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £16,000, to acquire the business of draper, carried on under the name of Lawrie and Smith, by the trustees of the late Nicol Brown Lawrie, warehousemen, Ayr, and to carry on the business of drapers and general warehousemen.[2]

1964 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
