Lee-Metford Rifle

From Graces Guide

1888 The Lee-Metford Rifle was developed, combining the rifled-bore developed by William Ellis Metford with the bolt action and detachable magazine of James Paris Lee[1].

This, in turn, was superseded by the Lee-Enfield Rifle, designed in 1895.

The rifles were made at the Royal Small Arms Factory (Enfield)
