Lewis Electro Mechanical

Dennis Lewis started fixing electrical goods in his garden shed. The first repair being an electric iron.

1946 Lewis Electro Mechanical was founded.

1986 Lewis Electro Mechanical bought Dynamo Motor Repairs in Acton (perhaps this was Dynamo and Motor Repairs) to create a leading Electro Mechanical Repair Company Lewis DMR. Lewis DMR had workshops throughout the United Kingdom:

  • Aberdeen Joss Engineering
  • Acton
  • Greenford APW Engineering
  • Heathrow
  • Maidenhead
  • Oxford

1996 the Management of Lewis DMR were taken on by WYKO to diversify the group into the Electro Mechanical Services market.

Acquired one of the market leaders, British Electrical Repairs Limited, and merged it with the Lewis DMR Group to form Lewis Berl.
