1968 British Motor Holdings merged with Leyland Motors to form British Leyland; Leyland tractors was one part of the new combine [1]

General

Nuffield tractors had been started after World War II by Lord Nuffield, owner of the Morris Motor Company which had become part of British Motor Corporation in 1951. Nuffield tractors were poppy red, but in 1969 the new British Leyland tractors became blue.
