1971 Introduced a vinyl wallpaper. Expansion of laboratory. Name changed to Leyland Paint and Wallpaper Ltd[3]

1971 Leyland Paint and Wallpaper took over Blaskeys (Wallpapers)[4]

1972 Acquired John Mathews and Co of Liverpool, established for over 125 years[5]

1973 Opened its first Target DIY discount shop[6]

1984 The wallpaper business was acquired by William Morris Fine Arts[7]

1985 Remaining paints business was subject to a reverse-takeover by private company Kalon[8][9]
