1930s Reynolds and Son, who were at 14 London Street, Fenchurch Street, was in financial difficulties; John Wilson Gillie arranged a merger with his firm, John Lilley and Son[1], as Lilley and Reynolds.
By 1938 Lilley and Reynolds were advertising their compass services; John Lilley and Son (of 10 London Street) were mentioned in the same advert[2]
1943 John Lilley and Son became John Lilley and Gillie
1951 Representative for John Lilley and Gillie
1984 Joint advert with S. I. R. S. Navigation Ltd of Swanscombe; Lilley was said to have been established in 1812[3].
