THOMAS, Major Lionel Beaumont; b. August 1st, 1893, at Lydney; s. of Richard Beaumont Thomas. Military Cross, Justice of the Peace. Educ.: Rugby. Served in Regular Army, 1914-1919; Director and Vice-Chairman of Richard Thomas and Co.; Director and Chairman of other Companies; Justice of the Peace for the County of Hereford; County Councillor for the County of Hereford, 1925 to 1928; a freeman of the City of London and a member of the Haberdashers Company; Conservative, contested Llanelly, 1923; Pontypool, 1924; elected for the King's Norton Division of Birmingham, 1929 and 1931; m. Pauline, d. of S. F. Marriott, 1913; three s. one d. Recreations: Shooting, yachting, tennis, fishing, and hunting. Clubs: Carlton, Cavalry, Royal Automobile, and Motor Yacht.
