1831 Sale notice: 'COPPERAS WORKS, BANKS of the CANAL.
To be LET, and entered upon immediately, well-known COPPERAS WORKS, situate at about five miles from Liverpool, on the Banks of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, consisting of Boiling-houses, Coolers, Storehouse, Sheds, Pump well supplied with water, three Cottages, large Gardens, together with a Piece of Land, containing in the whole about one Derby Acre, and inclosed by a well-built wall. The Premises are well-adapted for carrying on any Manufacture, as there is a Well sunk for the purpose of a steam-engine, and ample room for the erection of one, or any other requisite Building. The Canal affords advantageous supply of Coals, and safe conveyance of Goods.
