1811 This line was sanctioned May 25th, 1811, by 51 Geo. III., c. 113. Initial plans were drawn up by William Crosley
1814 This 3ft 6in. gauge line was opened. The line was 6.25 miles long running from the Brecknock and Abergavenny Canal at Llanwenarth in a north-easterly direction to Llanvihangel, from where its extension was built as the Grosmont Railway.
In 1846 the lines were absorbed by the Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway (NA&HR)
