1899 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, David Hannam Thornton, of Brookfoot, near Brighouse, in the county of York, John Marshall, of Brookfoot, near Brighouse aforesaid, and James Neilson Sproul, of Matlock, in the county of Derby, carrying on business as Laundry Proprietors, Dyers, and Cleaners, at the Matlock Bath Laundry, Cromford, in the county of Derby, the Dartmouth Laundry, Pool-street, Aston, Birmingham, the Victoria Laundry, Grafton-road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, the London Laundry, Holloway Head, Birmingham, and the Eccles Steam Laundry, Hope-street, Eccles, in the county of Lancaster, under the style or firm of James N. Sproul and Co., has been dissolved by mutual consent, so far as the said David Hannam Thornton is concerned, as and from the tenth day of March, 1899, and so far as the said John Marshall and James Neilson Sproul are concerned as and from the sixteenth day of August, 1899. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid in respect of the Dartmouth Laundry, the Victoria Laundry, and the London Laundry at Birmingham aforesaid, by the said John Marshall, who will continue to carry on the said businesses, under the styles or firms of the Dartmouth Laundry Company, the Victoria Laundry Company, and the London Laundry Company, and in respect of the Matlock Bath Laundry and the Eccles Steam Laundry, by the said James Neilson Sproul, who will continue to carry on the said businesses under the style or firm of James N.
