1856 '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting and carried on between ns the undersigned, John McKean the younger and David Hannah, as Power Loom Cloth Manufacturers and Cotton Spinners, at the Walmer Bridge Mill, within Little Hoole, near Preston, in the county of Lancaster, under the style or firm of McKean and Hannah, was this day dissolved by mutual consent; and that all debts due and owing to or by the said firm will be received and paid by the said John McKean, who will continue to carry on the said concern, under the style of John McKean and Company...'[1]
