1859 February 8th. Opened a line from Princes Bridge railway station to Punt Road (Richmond) and South Yarra (then called Gardiner's Creek Road).

1859 Extension to Prahran

1859 Connected with the St. Kilda and Brighton Railway Co's line from St Kilda to Bay Street (now North Brighton)

1860 Extension to Windsor

1861 Connected with Beach Station (now Brighton Beach).

1864 October 22nd. The Melbourne and Suburban Railway Co and the St. Kilda and Brighton Railway Co were amalgamated with the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway Co and the combined company was known as the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay United Railway Co.
