Established by a group of German colour-producing firms in order to work some of their patented processes in the UK.[1]
1912 Had cross-vesting of patents with A.G. fur Anilin Fabrikation, a Germany company. The 2 companies brought an action against Levinstein Ltd for infringement of the patents, which they lost; the appeal was halted because of the outbreak of war[2]
1914 Controller appointed under the Enemy Act, 1914
1917 Acquired by Brotherton and Co[3]
1918 December: Court order for the compulsory winding up of the company under the Trading with the Enemy Act[4]
