1940 Died. 'The death occurred at his residence, 24 Highfield Road. Rathgar, on Saturday of Mr. Michael Frederick Keogh, formerly general manager of the Great Southern Railways Co. He had been twice chairman of the railway managers' conference first in 1916 and again in 1924. When the railways operating in the Free State area were amalgamated in 1924 he was appointed general manager of the whole system. He remained in this post until 1928 when the retired.'[1]
