1919 'The Devon engineering works of M. Tod and Son, Campbell Street, have been in existence for nearly forty years. This firm specialises in linen textile machinery, and also have executed many orders in connection with mining plant. Contracts are not confined to this country, considerable work being done for clients on the Continent, and even in far-off Japan.'[1]

1937 Registered company. Subscribers were J. M. Tod and James W. B. Tod.[2]
