1912 Midland Counties Electric Supply Corporation Ltd was incorporated

1928 All of the company's stations had been selected for the Central England Electricity Scheme. The company had subsidiaries Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Electric Power Co and Leicestershire and Warwickshire Electric Power Co. At Spondon, a 23Mw generator set was being erected.[1]

1948 Nationalised

1950 Dissolved in 1950
