Mindacre

From Graces Guide

of Hardwick Airfield, near Bungay, Suffolk

2018 Correspondence[1]

The company was managed by Mr. Roy Slarke of Ditchingham near Bungay, Suffolk. The company was at one time owned by DK Aviation Ltd of Grimsby in Lincolnshire, an aviation brokerage firm which I think still exists.

Mindacre Ltd., had its operational base at Hardwick Airfield in Sussex, from where it carried out aerial application contracts throughout Britain as well as in Africa and the Middle East. During its heyday I think the company had about 20 employees.

I do know that Mr. Slarke is still alive but well into his nineties. Mr. Slarke’s son Richard was also employed by the company, and he lives in Ditchingham near Bungay. Several overseas pilots was employed by the company during the late and early seventies.
