Monkhide Skew Bridge






at Monkhide, Herefordshire (6 miles ENE of Hereford).
This masonry bridge has a remarkable degree of skew (27/63 degrees). Designed by Stephen Ballard in 1839 to take a minor road over the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal. Opened in 1843.
