1962 Merger of Morris and Jones and David Jones and Co

1964 'Morris and David Jones has acquired the whole of the issued capital of William Kingham'[1]

1967 'Morris and David Jones Ltd have purchased for cash the business of P. M. Willey and Sons Ltd, Liverpool motor agents engineers and body builders'[2]

1969 Owned William Kingham and Sons[3]

1972 Mr. Henry Laws, of Greasby, has been appointed managing director.[4]

1974 Acquired by Oriel Foods.

1974 Morris and David Jones operate 11 wholesale grocery warehouses, 16 cash-and-carry outlets and 25 retail stores.[5]

1980 Mojo Carryway. 'The company stems from the two famous Merseyside wholesale food distributors. Morris and Jones (founded 1865) and David Jones (founded 1862), which merged in 1962 to become Morris and David Jones, with strong Welsh connections, still retained by Mojo. Mojo, in fact, derives its name from the first two letters of Morris and the first two of Jones. Morris and David Jones diversified from its basic wholesale grocery and distribution about 15 years ago into cash-and-carry trading. And when Oriel Foods took over Morris and David Jones, six sears ago, it also inherited 11 warehouses.'[6]
