Mothersill and Co

From Graces Guide

"With the name of MOTHERSILL & CO., of 14, Bow Lane, London, E.C.4, is invariably associated "Shearsil " fabric. Mothersill's are also noted for a particularly fine range of poplin shirtings and cotton crepe, those of pastel shades being especially attractive. Shearsit longcloths are one of their specialities.

In addition to these fabrics, the firm's output includes a new ladderless artificial silk stockingette, which, the firm anticipate, will enjoy an exceptional demand in connection with the manufacture of ladies' underclothing, jumpers, robes, etc." [1]
