Mountaineer Motor Co

From Graces Guide

Mountaineer Motor Co of Marsden

of Baker Street, London, that claimed to have works in Coventry.

1902-04 Mountaineer was a motorcycle actually made by the Rex Motor Manufacturing Co

The company offered a machine that was typically primitive. A heavy-duty bicycle had an engine clamped within the main frame and belt drive to the rear wheel.

In reality, the motorcycles were made by Rex Motor Manufacturing Co, but when Rex moved on to a new design, Mountaineer faded from sight.
