SALE OF VALUABLE MACHINERY, ENGINEERS' AND MILLWRIGHTS’ STOCK. &c.
MR. WALKER begs to announce, that has received instructions to offer for unreserved SALE by AUCTION, on the premises, Lydia Anne-street, Liverpool, on Monday, the 27th instant, and following days of business, at eleven o’clock precisely each day, the very valuable MACHINERY, and MATERIALS of Messrs. Murray and Brown, Engineers, Iron-founders, and Millwrights.
The MACHNERY includes a superior 10-horse Engine, with Pair of Governors, and Boiler complete, valuable Slide Lathe, with 20 feet Iron Bed, and double motions, with Machinery for Cutting Square-thread Screws, three 12-inch, one 10-inch, and one 9-inch Double-geared Lathes, with Pulleys, Cross Shafts, &c. Boring Mill, with Double-geared Lathe, motion, and large Self-acting Boring Bar, and 22-inch Bed. Planing Machine, 8 feet Bed, 2 feet 8 inches wide, with Screws, Pulleys, and Reverse Motions, Polishing Machine, large and small Screwing Machines. Upright Drilling Machine, two wrought-iron Cupolas, and 4-feet Iron Fan, with Shaft, Pulleys, and Blast Pipes, double and single Purchase Cranes, with side motions, two pair Steel-yards, equal to four and five tons, Weighing Machines, &c.
The Foundry, Brass Foundry, and Pattern-rooms comprise a large quantity of Moulding Boxes, Moulding Troughs, Crucibles, Brass Patterns, fourteen complete Sets of Patterns for Steam-engines, from 1/2-horse to 25-horse power, together with immense variety of Patterns of every description.
The Smithy includes six pair Bellows, from 30 to 38 inches, with Fire-irons, Cisterns, Pipes, and wrought-iron Hearths complete.
The Tools comprise complete Sets for Engineers, Millwrights, Pattern Makers, Smiths and Founders.
The Timber includes an extensive assortment of well-seasoned Oak, African Oak, Baywood, Sycamore, Poplar, Beech, Ash, Elm, Alder, Crab, and Red Pine. The Manufactured Stock comprises a 90-horse high pressure Beam Engine complete, one each 12 and 14-horse Cylinders, with Nossels, Slide Valves, and Cylinder Covers, turned and fitted, one each 2, 4, and 5-horse Cylinders, with Covers turned and fitted, large Rope Sledge, with Speed Wheels complete, an extensive assortment of Motions, for all descriptions, Pipes, &c. French Burr Stones, dressed suitably for Millers, Paint Manufacturers, and others; also, a quantity undressed. The Stores and Materials comprise every article suitable for the business.
May be viewed on the 24th and 25th instant, and Catalogues had on the premises, and of Mr. Walker, 55, Church-street.'[1]
