c.1962 Nabisco Foods Ltd of Bridge Road, East, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.

1964 Formation of Nabisco-Frears Biscuit Ltd

1988 Kohlberg Kravis Roberts acquired RJR Nabisco which owned British brands Huntley and Palmers, Jacob's Biscuits, Shreddies, Smiths Crisps and Snack Products, Walkers Crisps Snack Products, Hovis Crackers, amongst others [2]

1989 KKR disposed of a number of biscuit brands including Huntley and Palmers, Ritz Crackers and Jacob's cream crackers[3]

1991 RJR Nabisco was floated by KKR[4]
